156 : Tut : Custom Embroidery by witegots 156 : Tut : Custom Embroidery by witegots
The first in a series of 3 tutorials on embroidery. Only the last two are relevant to making the embroidered bag.

Oh, and I'm so sorry for the harsh language and time-wasting lunacy in this. For some reason, I started feeling a lot more serious when I was finishing the tutorial than when I started, so it's kind of lopsided.

Anyway, yeah. Lopsided.

>w< I've been looknig for ages for a good embroidery tutorial!! :huggle: Thank you so much!! <3 <3

Do you have to use the embroidery fabric to embroider like this? Or can you use it on any material? And do you just hold it over the fabric? Thank you so much, I hope these questions aren't too "elementry" for you XDD <3

I can't tell from the image, but isn't this more like cross-stitch rather than embroidery? Not that it really takes away from the helpfulness of the tutorial or anything... :)

OK!

Actually, you should have told me earlier that you wanted it. I could have mailed it to you (free of charge) cause I had to leave it behind when I moved to the UK. :/

Oh well, maybe next year...

This is so. totally. going to help me not become homicidal when I try to embroider. *has been doing things freehand because is too lazy to work with a proper pattern* You deserve constant hugs for making this tutorial.

Much respect for the freehand (I'd never be able to do something like that)! Glad this was useful to you!

Wow...and I thought just the presentation of the bag was pro(which you claimed "wasnt")...this really is! For me, the hard part (3) didn't sound that hard at all! You explain it in a way for even R'tards like me to understand! And you do it without missing a single step. If I ever get the time to get into embroidering, I will definately use this. Until then...tut tut (pardon me xD)...and :+fav:. :D
