His colleagues will admit that when Light first made his debut as an architect, they felt great discomfort around the young man. While going over his blueprints, he would often gaze into the distance - a sinister look upon his face.

But within just months, the young architect had proven himself to be an exceptional building planner, earning him the respect and acknowledgment of his peers. Soon his facial short-comings were overlooked entirely and Light found himself surrounded only by friends and well-wishers.

Acceptance was all Light ever wanted.
