This is somewhat based on real life experiences I had as a child with boring hobbies. I honestly once got in trouble for reading during someone's birthday party. Her mother was furious with me and shouted: "No one reads on my daughter's birthday! EVERYONE MUST BE HAVING FUN!"

This strip was created 6 months ago for *zeisstrx, who caught my 10k kiriban - the babysitter character is based on a picture he used to have on his icon (his request was that I create a DN comic with this character). At first he wanted to turn the commission into an art trade, so I drew my share and waited for him to finish his...but eventually (*cough* 6 months later *cough*) he realised that he was far too busy with real artwork and gave me the go-ahead to post this up.

Something like that happened at a birthday party to me, too. They wanted to play some stupid game that didn't seem fun to me, so I chose to sit out. Next thing I know, her mom is in there yelling at me and calling me an awful child right in front of everyone :noes:
....but that was AFTER she yelled at me for leaving the room to go get socks. :|

:confused: Thats a mighty big blood splatter coming from the corner of the screen to be caused by a skinny little weaponless thing like Near. I'm scared now.

Yeah...that woman was screwed up. The worst part was that she was a past teacher of mine. :|
She yelled even more when I started crying :noes:
In the end, it was her that ruined the mood....not me. I mean..come on. Sitting out of a game isn't nearly as bad as picking out small sickly child like my past self to yell at :XD:
But long story short. I know how you feeeeeeeel bro. FEEEEL.
I simply adore that panel where Near is snapping. I was thinking..."IS SHE GONNA GO THUR?! OH SNAP, SHE DID! LOLOLOL!"
